Spherical plain bearings enable multi-directional movement through a sliding spherical contact between an inner ring (ball) and outer ring (socket). Designed for simultaneous radial, axial, and angular loads, they tolerate extreme misalignment (±10–25°) – far exceeding rolling bearings. Key variants include:
Maintenance-Free: PTFE/fiber composite liners for permanent lubrication (e.g., SKF GE…C).
Lubricatable: Grease nipples for heavy-load applications (e.g., hydraulic cylinder pins).
