Thrust Ball Bearing
Thrust ball bearings are designed exclusively for axial (thrust) loads and cannot sustain radial forces. They consist of two precision-ground washers (shaft and housing washers) with ball grooves, separated by a cage-guided ball set. Available in single-direction (handling uniaxial thrust) and double-direction (bidaxial thrust) configurations, they offer low friction, high-speed capability, and compact axial space utilization. Critical in applications with dominant axial loads, such as crane hooks, vertical pumps, and gearbox thrust collars.
